About Us............
The Beira Rio Restaurant can be found in the charming Algarvian town of Tavira, overlooking the meandering Rio Gilao. This pretty river setting makes for a most enjoyable dining experience.
The restaurant is Irish owned and boasts a wonderful selection of Portuguese and International Cuisine.
Situated in the “Old Town” of Tavira, close to the Roman Bridge, visitors to the restaurant can savour the wonderful delights and relaxed atmosphere of Tavira, while dining in the outdoor seating area overlooking the river.
The Beira Rio Restaurant provides seating for up to one hundred people outside and eighty inside.
The Black Anchor Bar is a new addition to the Beira Rio Restaurant. Located next to the restaurant, diners can enjoy pre or post dinner drinks in this old style Irish bar or enjoy snacks or more casual meals from our Bar Menu.

Weddings
Whether you are looking for a large formal wedding breakfast or a more informal reception, the Beira Rio makes a stunning venue . We are able to cater for 200 guests either by the river side , in our traditional restaurant or our private garden. Let us take care of the catering and entertainment leaving you free to enjoy your very special day. We can also work along side wedding planners or put you in contact with all the necessary people to ensure your day is a memorable one.

Birthday Parties to corporate dinners, our restaurant and private gardens are the perfect venue. Menus can be designed to meet any budget and entertainment from Karaoke to a String Quartet can be arranged. We will always do our very best to satisfy our customers requirments and any special requests making sure the event lives up to your expectations.
